Best Advice for New Puppy Owners: Huskies love your affection but make sure they know who the alpha is! They will be king/queen of your home before you know it. Huskies need a lot of exercise and things to keep them busy. If they don't get it, they find their own fun! Which usually means something in your house/yard gets eaten. Most importantly, huskies are pack animals. When you adopt one, your family becomes their pack. They need love and attention from you. Smother them with attention and good discipline and they will become your best friend. There is nothing more satisfying than watching my huskies running and playing with each other!
Favorite food: Anything and everything that fits in her mouth! Whatever we're eating. Anything with meat in it.
Favorite toy: A rubber bone that she had had since the day we brought her home. Anything with rope in it.
Favorite game: Loves to play tug of war with rope. She is relentless!
Obedience/tricks learned: sit, paw, come, kiss, stay, off, down (when she wants to).
Future plans: Sending her to Harvard to get her business degree :o) Years of watching her run and play in the snow. She LOVES the snow!
Animal friends: Loki, our 2 1/2 year old male husky. She loves to terrorize the poor boy! They sleep next to each other in our room every night. He lays next to her and licks her ears. She loves it.
If she could talk, I am sure she would say . . "This is my house and my couch! Are you listening to me???" Dog translation - "wooo-woooo-wooooo!" She is very vocal.
Funniest moment: Looking out the window and seeing her body half submerged in a hole that she had dug. I think she is trying to dig her way back to Siberia! She loves to dig.
Proudest moment: The first time she came right up to me, sat and offered me her paw without being told!
