THE "STAR" OF THE MONTH (JUNE, 2004)

Name:    Starfire's Frosty Spirit (formerly Sigma)
Nicknames:   Frosty
Color:    Gray/white
DOB:   2/26/03
Parents:   Meekah II and Kaylenberg's Apache Spirit

Best Advice for New Puppy Owners:   They need lots of love, attention, chew toys and companionship.  You need lots and lots of patience and a good sense of humor!  It's worth every minute.  Don't ever start them on table food - there's no going back!

Favorite food:   Pizza, ice cream, pepperoni, chicken breast (he won't eat dark meat).
Favorite toy:   Stuffed animals with squeakers.  He goes nuts until he rips the squeaker out!!!
Favorite game:   Fetch, tug of war, running from you like a maniac when he has something he shouldn't be chewing (this is his personal favorite).
Obedience/tricks learned:  sit, shake, lay down, roll over, speak, kiss, wait, down and he will say "I love you" when he really wants something and we make him ask for it.  You can tell him to get a ball or a chewy (his toys) and he knows the difference.  You can also tell him to go get a drink and he will.
Future plans:  More obedience training (he has never gotten the "heel" thing down) and possibly therapy training when he settles down a little.  Hope to breed him to a Starfire Siberian "STAR".

Animal friends:   Ziggy, a big black and white dog who comes several times a week to play and eat Thor's dog food.  (This is the only time Thor will voluntarily eat his own food.  I guess he likes having a friend over for dinner).
If he could talk, I am sure he would say . . "It's Mine, Mine, Mine, I tell you!!!"  As you are chasing him madly through the house to get something he shouldn't have out of his mouth.
Funniest moment:  When you catch him on the bed (where he shouldn't be) and he does his "mad dog" dash around and around the bed and you can't catch him or get him off.
Proudest moment:  When he said "I love you" on command in front of several of our skeptical friends.  People just don't realize how smart these dogs are!
